EBOLA: Government agency NAFDAC set to arrest false Ebola Virus Cure Claimers


The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) on Monday 4th August Warned that the agency is ready to clamped down on people who claim that they have products which are capable of curing the Ebola disease.

The DG of the agency Dr. Paul Ohii who gave the warning in Lagos stated that the Ebola virus currently has no cure and there is no definite drug that can cure the disease. Reacting to the online rumours of the online advertisement for the Ebola drugs and cure said NAFDAC will not take likely any such the advertisement of the disease that is currently ravaging West African countries.

Orhii warned that anybody making false claims that he or she has products that can cure the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) should stop it or face the wrath of the law. His words " The Honourable Minister of Health Professor Onyebuchi has stated categorically that there is no cure for the disease at the moment."
