The Frenchman, who was the first team assistant to Carlo Ancelotti's Coaching staff for UEFA Champions league winners Real Madrid last season is now set to undertake his first management role in the 2014-15 campaign season with Real Madrid Castilla in Segunda Division B.
The 42 years old will be assisted by youth coach Santiago Sanchez and has already started working on future plans for the reserve team squad, a statement from the Santiago Bernabeu duo confirmed on Wednesday . The French man played for Real Madrid from 2001 until retiring in 2006.
Castilla are the reserve side of Real Madrid which were relegated last season to Segunda Division B, the third tier of Spanish football.
